Students are given the opportunity to perform either a solo, duet, trio or quartet for judges who will evaluate their performance. For more information click here

ViolaFest! is packed with activities that explore the instrument through Masterclasses and Special Viola Topics with NWSA Professor Richard Fleischman, performances, and even a Viola Ensemble and Faculty recital.
The event is free and open to students in grades 7-12 as well as college-age students. Parents are encouraged to attend. Participants must bring their viola and their music. A snack will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring food and drinks to eat in between events, while exploring the beautiful Wolfson Campus in the heart of downtown Miami.

The New World Symphony is pleased to offer advanced young instrumentalists grades 7-12 the opportunity to perform in the Side-by-Side Ensemble concert. If selected through audition, students will play alongside New World Symphony Fellows, developing a musical working relationship as they prepare and perform orchestra works of the highest caliber. Through the same auditions, students can also earn an opportunity to perform as a soloist with the ensemble.
